Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Underarm Waxing.

Most clients experience smooth underarms for three to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth cycles and hormone factors. Regular waxing can progressively extend intervals between treatments as hair grows back finer and sparser.

When performed properly, waxing should not darken skin. Temporary redness or mild inflammation can occur but usually subsides quickly. If you have hyperpigmentation concerns, our therapists will recommend soothing aftercare and patch tests or alternative methods to reduce irritation risk.

Some discomfort is normal, especially on first treatments, but pain is brief. We use softening oils, proper technique, and quick removal to reduce sensation. Applying a mild numbing cream or taking ibuprofen beforehand can help for particularly sensitive clients.

Ensure hair is about a quarter inch long for effective removal; avoid heavy deodorants, perfumes, or exfoliants before your visit. Clean, dry underarms are ideal. Inform us of medications or skin conditions to tailor treatment and reduce irritation risk.

We advise waiting at least 24 hours before applying deodorant to allow pores to close and prevent irritation. If necessary, use fragrance-free, gentle products after 24 hours and follow our soothing aftercare to calm skin and minimize sensitivity.

Every three to six weeks is common, depending on personal hair growth and preference. With consistent waxing, hair often grows back finer and sparser, allowing longer intervals. Our staff will recommend a personalized schedule based on your results and comfort.
