Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Full Arm Waxing.

Most clients enjoy hair-free arms for about three to six weeks, depending on individual growth cycles. Regular waxing weakens follicles over time, often lengthening intervals between appointments. Results vary by age, hormones, and personal hair patterns.

Sensitivity varies; most clients report brief discomfort during waxing, followed by immediate smoothness. To minimize pain, exfoliate beforehand, avoid caffeine, keep skin clean, and schedule sessions mid-cycle. Bhumi’s therapists use soothing pre- and post-wax care to ease sensitivity.

Ensure hair is about a quarter-inch long, exfoliate gently 48 hours prior, and avoid retinoids or strong acids for a week. Arrive with clean, dry skin and disclose any medications or skin conditions so your therapist can tailor the service.

Avoid waxing on sunburned or recently tanned skin. Wait until redness subsides and skin fully recovers—usually at least 48 to 72 hours after mild sun exposure, and longer for burns. Sensitive or treated skin may need a longer waiting period.

Waxing reduces ingrown hairs by removing hair from the root and promoting exfoliation, but it doesn't eliminate them entirely. Regular exfoliation, professional technique, and aftercare reduce occurrences. For persistent ingrowns, ask Bhumi’s therapists about targeted treatments or topical recommendations.

Avoid hot baths, saunas, vigorous exercise and sun exposure for 24–48 hours. Apply a soothing, fragrance-free lotion or aloe, exfoliate gently after 48 hours, and use SPF on exposed arms. Contact us if irritation or prolonged redness occurs.
