Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Brazilian Waxing.

Results typically last three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth cycles and hormone levels. Regular waxing can extend interval between services. Schedule maintenance every four to six weeks for consistent smoothness and to catch regrowth before it becomes uncomfortable.

Sensitivity varies by person; brief stinging is common but subsides quickly. To minimize discomfort, avoid caffeine, exfoliate days before, take over-the-counter pain relief if needed, breathe deeply and communicate with your therapist for adjustments or numbing options.

Prepare by growing hair approximately a quarter-inch long so wax can grip effectively. Gently exfoliate two to three days before, avoid moisturizers on the day, and arrive clean. Inform us about medications, skin conditions, or recent sun exposure.

Common effects include temporary redness, minor swelling, and small bumps that typically resolve within 24 to 48 hours. Rare risks include ingrown hairs or infection; proper aftercare, cleanliness and experienced technicians greatly reduce those risks.

Ideal hair length is about a quarter-inch (roughly 5–7 mm) so the wax can adhere properly. If hair is too short, waxing may be ineffective; if too long, we may trim before waxing to ensure a comfortable, efficient service.

Pregnancy clients can usually receive Brazilian waxing, though sensitivity increases; many wait until after the first trimester. Always disclose pregnancy and any medical concerns. For sensitive skin, we offer gentle techniques, patch tests and hypoallergenic waxes to reduce irritation.
